what happened

The touch pad had been asking for 499 pixels since the day it was written, which is wider than any phone anybody has made, so everyone who opened the cabinet on a phone found four buttons, a clipped fifth, and no way at all to shoot. It fits now, down to a 320-pixel screen, thumbs still in their corners. On the way past, the picture a shared link unfurls stopped being a screenshot of the wrong shape and became a wave with a kraken in it.

While v45 was on the cabinet, David Friedrich changed the rules.

The rules themselves were altered: each of these is a check the rules already claimed was being made and was not. GR10 now reads the change rather than the directory, so an untracked note in the root stops turning every rules commit into a finding. GR11 reads the guard where the game reads it, on disk, on any commit, the way GR12 already read the ledger. GR16 reads a board row against its own evidence, and refuses rather than warns, because a row that disagrees with the flight under it is one somebody typed. The generated paths are walked against .gitattributes, which is how docs/pilot-*.html went a commit without a merge line and cost the next two branches three conflicts nobody had written.
