The ledger had David Friedrich pinned at the punishment ceiling with no way back, so the field learned mercy without amnesia - seven clean landings since his last bend now read as three bends instead of five, and his own traps are one good evening away from sparing him again.

While v15 was on the cabinet, David Friedrich changed the rules.
landed as “The referee grew a memory, the table got paperwork, and tapes name their seat” — 07 August 2026
The rules themselves were altered: the skip price depended on the skipper's own hooks writing the receipt, which is no way to price a skip; a breach could charge a phantom on a typo; the book could not tell the one story the new rules added; and a rewrite that guts a feature at net zero sailed past GR4 unremarked.
While v15 was on the cabinet, David Friedrich did some housekeeping.
landed as “Eight clean evenings, and the third bend is one landing away” — 07 August 2026
While v15 was on the cabinet, David Friedrich changed the rules.
landed as “A tape that passes the seal lands itself now” — 07 August 2026
The rules themselves were altered: The blackbox ritual verified, decoded and ranked a flight and then stopped at the edge of the commit to ask, which left verified flights sitting unstaged in a working tree after the pilot had walked away. Handing over the tape is the ask. The only stops left are the three that refuse a tape - broken seal, already ranked, borrowed name - and anything past those goes on the board and into a commit in one move.
While v15 was on the cabinet, David Friedrich put a flight on the board.
landed as “The board opens with a kraken hunter and an unused bomb” — 07 August 2026
